 Applications for the University of Melbourne Masters Scholarship are now being accepted from eligible candidates. This scholarship is open to international students from any country, excluding Australia and New Zealand, who are not permanent residents of Australia.

About the Scholarship

The University of Melbourne, situated in Melbourne, Australia, is a renowned public research institution. Established in 1853, it holds the distinction of being the second oldest university in Australia and the oldest in Victoria.

The primary campus of Melbourne University is positioned in Parkville, an inner suburb north of the central business district of Melbourne. Additionally, the university has multiple campuses spread across Victoria.

Melbourne University, recognized for its prestigious sandstone architecture, is affiliated with prominent academic networks such as the Group of Eight, Universitas 21, and the Association of Pacific Rim Universities. Over the years, several residential colleges have become affiliated with the university, starting from 1872.

Benefits of University of Melbourne Masters Scholarship

The scholarship offers a single-time reduction in fees amounting to either $5,000 or $10,000, as well as fee reductions of 25%, 50%, or 100% for the entire duration of the standard course.

Requirements for University of Melbourne Masters Scholarship 

In order to qualify for this scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:

1. Hold citizenship of a country other than Australia or New Zealand and not possess permanent residency in Australia.

2. Have submitted an application for an eligible graduate coursework degree.

3. Be initiating your studies at the University of Melbourne for the first time.

4. Not be receiving any other tuition fee remission scholarship or sponsorship that, when combined with the IPCA (International Postgraduate Coursework Award), surpasses 100% of the tuition fees.

5. Not have been granted any other scholarship from the Australian Government within the past 2 years.

Eligible graduate coursework degrees include:

1. Any coursework-based Master's degree provided by the Melbourne Business School, Melbourne School of Design, and Melbourne School of Engineering.

2. Master of Science programs in BioSciences, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Ecosystem Science, Mathematics & Statistics, and Physics, along with Master of Biotechnology, Master of Data Science, Master of Environmental Science, Master of Geography, Master of Geoscience, Master of Urban Horticulture, and Master of Forest Ecosystem Science offered by the Faculty of Science.

3. Master of Teaching program offered by the Melbourne Graduate School of Education.

4. Executive Master of Arts, Master of Translation, and Master of International Journalism programs offered by the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences.

5. Graduate Certificate of Public Administration program provided by the Melbourne School of Government.

6. Melbourne Law Masters program offered by the Melbourne Law School.
