Sciences Po has introduced the
Émile Boutmy scholarship with the aim of attracting talented international
students from non-European Union countries.
This prestigious scholarship,
named after the institution's founder, is awarded to exceptional students who
meet Sciences Po's admission criteria and specific program requirements.
The Émile Boutmy Scholarship Fund
receives generous support from sponsors, benefactors, businesses, and
foundations who are committed to providing access to Sciences Po for deserving
international students.
On special occasions, private sponsors may have the opportunity to interact directly with scholarship recipients.
Benefits of Sciences Po Émile Boutmy Undergraduate Scholarship
The Émile Boutmy scholarship is
specifically designed for students who are enrolling in their first year of
studies at Sciences Po.
The Émile Boutmy program offers
various scholarship options, which include:
1. A tuition grant of €13,190 per
year for the entire duration of the three-year undergraduate program.
2. A tuition grant of €8,800 per
year for the entire duration of the three-year undergraduate program.
3. A tuition grant of €6,000 per
year for the entire duration of the three-year undergraduate program.
4. A tuition grant of €3,600 per
year for the entire duration of the three-year undergraduate program.
It's important to note that the
scholarship will be forfeited if the academic year is not successfully
completed. Additionally, if a student with a granted scholarship decides to
defer their admission, the scholarship will be lost.
During the year abroad, which is
the third year of the undergraduate program, scholarship recipients will
continue to receive their tuition fee grant as well as an additional cost of
living grant, if applicable.
Furthermore, the Émile Boutmy scholarship will be automatically renewed if the student chooses to pursue their graduate studies at Sciences Po.
Requirements for Sciences Po Émile Boutmy Undergraduate Scholarship Qualification
In order to be eligible for the
Émile Boutmy scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
1. They must be first-time
applicants to Sciences Po's undergraduate program.
2. They must be from a
non-European Union state.
3. Their household should not
file taxes within the European Union.
4. They must have received an
admission offer to the Undergraduate program.
On the other hand, the following
candidates are not eligible for the scholarship:
1. Swiss and Norwegian applicants
who may be eligible for CROUS scholarships.
2. Candidates who hold dual
citizenship, including an EU citizenship.
3. Candidates from Quebec for
master's degree (as they may benefit from sliding scale fees like European
applicants). However, candidates from Quebec applying for a bachelor's degree
are eligible.
4. Dual-degree candidates at the
master's level, except for specific programs:
- Dual degree in Journalism Sciences Po/Columbia University
- Dual degree Sciences Po/Fudan University with the concentration
Europe-Asia in Global Affairs (only applicable to Chinese nationals)
- Dual degree Sciences Po/Peking University (only applicable to Chinese
nationals)
5. Ph.D. program students
focusing on thesis research.
6. Candidates applying for 1-year
Master's programs.
7. Bachelor dual-degree
candidates, unless part of a specific agreement.
8. Exchange students.
9. Candidates applying through the French graduate admission procedure.
It's important to note that the Émile Boutmy scholarship cannot be combined with other scholarships such as the Eiffel scholarship, AEFE scholarship, BGF, and others.

1. If you have previously been unsuccessful in obtaining the
Émile Boutmy scholarship, you are not eligible to reapply.
2. We will only consider complete applications with all the
required documents.
3. Applications received after the deadline will not be accepted.
4. Students cannot apply for the Émile Boutmy scholarship after
their admission to Sciences Po or during their studies at Sciences Po. In such
cases, students should seek alternative sources of funding if they are not
awarded the Émile Boutmy scholarship.
5. The awarding of Émile Boutmy scholarships is the responsibility of the Admissions Department. Please note that your scholarship application will only be considered if you are admitted to one of our eligible programs.
