University of Sydney Research Scholarship, which is fully funded by University of Sydney, is presently accepting applications from eligible students.
University of Sydney Research Scholarship
The Scholarship, supported by the Australian Research
Council's Discovery Projects, provides funding for postgraduate research in the
School of Chemistry, Faculty of Science.
It supports PhD students focusing on innovative research in
rare-earth free solid-state magnetic materials.
Recipients have the opportunity to explore synthesis,
characterization, computational modeling, and more, contributing to various
aspects of the project.
Benefits of University of Sydney Research Scholarship
The Scholarship offers recipients an annual stipend
allowance of $29,880, adjusted on 1st January each year, throughout a maximum
duration of 3.5 years, contingent upon maintaining a high level of academic performance and progress.
Requirements for University of Sydney Research Scholarship
To qualify for this grant, candidates must meet the
following criteria:
1. To qualify, candidates must have secured an unconditional
offer or be presently enrolled full-time in the School of Chemistry, Faculty of
Science at the University of Sydney, pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
program.
2. Possess an honours degree (First Class or Second Class
upper) or a master's degree in a relevant field with a significant research
component, or an equivalent qualification.
3. Display a willingness to conduct research in the field of
solid-state magnetic materials.
4. Demonstrate a readiness to work at prominent neutron and
X-ray scattering facilities.
